Poor Baby :(

My poor little girl is in sooo much pain. Because of her first two teeth of course! I guess for Christmas she actually got her two front (bottom) teeth! Poor little one is sooo not herself though. I can tell she is hurting by the way she jolts her little body and only wants to be with her Mama....even Nana doesn't quite do! And of course her teeth have caused a terrible diaper rash and a red ear (had it checked out...no ear ache at least!) I just hope she gets a break (and me too) before her next ones come in...Besides all that, she is just the cutest little button. She really is doing well considering. She will be nine months soon, I can't believe it. Where does the time go? She is within a couple months, if not one, of walking...I just know it. She is so quick to stand up on everything and is beginning to cruise along the furniture now! When we had her ear checked we got to see how much she weighed! She is a whopping 13.11 But really that is good...that means she gained a pound this last month. She is getting so big and her hair is growing longer and longer down her little back, I actually had to blow dry it tonight! All in all, life is crazy ( these holidays) but great!

Not enough hours...

Wow, it's been a really long time since I've had the "time" to write. I swear, there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done, not to mention to write basically to myself! As therapeutic as this is...can't seem to get to it! I seriously have been freaking out lately (I think the obsessive compulsiveness is kicking in!) about everything that I either have to or want to do. I have broken down and so far have 4 sticky notes next to my fridge with notes of what I need "to do" or what I need to buy at various stores...this is how boggled my mind is! So, don't be shocked if you come over and I have turned into one large yellow square, a sticky note. For today, most duties are done...maybe I will spend a little time on my hobby (something for myself, unbelievable)! Uh oh, baby is up...back to the real world!

Just Like Me!

Too bad our baby girl got my traits...as far as being impatient, getting easily frustrated, throwing tantrums and super crazy about wanting HER way! I can already see it...she starts crawling and because she can't figure out how to get back to her bottom to sit up, she puts her head down and starts SCREAMING in frustration! She got everything else of her dad's, why couldn't she get his "cool as a cucumber" personality and super crazy patience?? Oh well, maybe she'll grow out of it...wait, I never did!

Sooooo Big...but still so little!

My baby girl crawled for the first time last week! It is such a cute little crawl and so weird to see her down on the floor, such a little thing in this big bad world! She got lots of practice all weekend while we were away in Texas visiting fam..and her big little cousin was great inspiration to move about! She still wishes she could walk though! I can't imagine that stage...I am still soaking up the reality of her crawling...let's not move too fast people. I will update you on how skinny I am after I have been chasing her around the house now that she will be into EVERYTHING!!! I love my little crawler!

Wiggle Worm!

Oh my gosh...this little girl is such a wiggler already. She wiggles and wriggles her way until she is almost out of your arms! She is sitting up for longer periods of time and goes from sitting up to her hands and knees all on her own. I am so nervous to have a mobile little girl who already loves getting into things! She is drawn to cell phones and remotes, uh oh !! She has been a very good girl considering being cooped up inside with all the fires and smoke. By the way, god bless anyone who has had to evacuate, we have been fortunate enough to stay put and only have the smoke and ash to deal with. Sweet Life!

How can I...me....have a six month old (and a beautiful one at that)?? I am in shock (in a good way) everyday! I love her so much, with all her expression and wonder...what must life look like through the eyes of such a little thing!? Today I have a break...Nana is taking her to Sea World, after we do her Halloween Pics (thanks Kalyn)! And although I love having breaks...I already miss her! Even down for her nap, I can't wait to hear her cry for me to come get her! I can't belive it's October, life goes by even faster with a baby, no joke. I know all you mommy friends of mine know what Im talking about! Well, here's a shout out and tribute to how hard working all us mom's are. Happy 6 month birthday baby girl!!

Today Shayne is officially six months old! I can hardly believe it!! It has been a challenging half of a year...but looking back, I am proud of us for getting through all her hardships (not to say that it was that bad, we should be thankful cause' there are lots of families who would pray for acid relux, thrush, goopy eyes etc. ) Anyway, I am so proud of our little girl, she is doing all the things a typical 6 month old does! She is almost sitting up, she still falls over, but tries to balance herself with her hands. She loooves her solid food and cracks up in her bath when I squeeze the washcloth on her (of all things!). She had her shots today :( but did really good. She is still little for her age, 12.2 lbs, but her doctor said that she is very perportioned and is growing at a slow, steady rate. She thinks too that she takes after her dad (imagine that!) because he was always the smallest kid in his class until he was 18 when he finally had his growth spurt! So, needless to say, she is just like her Dada! She is sleeping 12 hours a night and is doing great on her new sleep schedule...wheeeew! Great for us...we are way more sane these days. Beside the fact that things are crazy with the business (we put in point of sale computers last week), it gives us more time to do our work without giving her less of our time! So, all in all, life is great...be on the lookout for her 6 month photos "coming soon!"

The Simple Things In Life...

I love seeing the cause and affect of a new little baby exploring everything in this crazy world of ours (I say crazy because I spent a good two hours Friday night watching a presidential debate and now feel like I know way more than I probably do!-by the way, sad events for a Friday night!) But that is neither here nor there...my point is, that this age (almost 6 months, can't believe it) is so amazing! Just the other day I came home to be informed by Nana that my little girl figured out how to make a hanging cord move..."What?" I said. Well, here is what she meant...she actually started sticking her little foot out of the rung of her crib against the wall and realized that if she moved it with her foot, it would hit the wall and make a noise! I wasn't surprised at her sticking her foot out, she figured out that her arms and legs are small enough to fit through ages ago (ages to me is like a few days!) But I cracked up when Nana went on to tell me that she went up and moved her to the opposite end of the crib only to find out that she had inched her way all the way back and was playing again! I know it's silly, but something as simple as this makes you remember all the little things in life and it's simplicity when you look at it from the wide eyes of a baby in which everything is new and exciting! Wow, was that a run on sentance or what! Anywho, I love my little girl and love this stage that she is in, she makes us laugh every day!

WRINKLE WRINKLE LITTLE STAR!

I wish I had a picture of her wrinkling her little nose, but it really doesn't do it justice! Her new thing is to wrinkle up her little nose every time she smiles or laughes. It is the funniest thing! She is doing so many new things every day...it's hard to keep up! I will try to get a good picure so that you can see what I am talking about!

Song and Dance!

So, she has gotten smart...once she sees the green bottle (reflux medicine) come out...she knows "oh that doesn't taste good" and she immediately purses her little lips! So now, what do I have to do? I have to sing and dance around to get her to smile or open up! It's hillarious how smart she is getting, just when you think you have a system down! So, "laaa laa laaa...open up...laaa laa laaa!" is what my morning today was like!

How I got the name!

So, I've been racking my brain thinking of a name for a new blog and it just hit me today driving in the car...Mama (cause' Im a mom) and CanCan not only because of the Cantina but I like to think "I can, I can do anything!". So, that is the mystery behind it, the question burning in your mind!

So, here goes...I never thought I would get into something like this (for instance I never got into MySpace and still refuse to...) but , I think it will be a good place for me to vent and or share new and exciting things about my baby girl!!
